Tangler on Techcrunch

Our forum system for Particls is powered by Tangler.com. If you log on to provide us feedback you will find a real-time chat/forum hybrid full of AJAX goodness.

Tangler is starting to venture out of the shadows and has recently been reviewed on Techcrunch.

The ability to span Synchronous and Asynchronous conversation puts Tangler in a category all on its own. Jump in at any time, or discuss in real-time. Join the conversation late? No worries, read back through the archived history.

The real power of Tangler becomes clear, however, when you look at the distributed nature of the system. One conversation, many ‘windows’. You can particupate from the Tangler UI, in an embedded chat room on another site or on a widget somewhere.

Faraday/Particls in the Top 10 Web 2.0 Companies

Over on Read/Write Web Ross Dawson has written up a list of Australia’s Top 60 Web 2.0 Applications.

In the top 10 are many of our friends in the local scene including Omnidrive, Atlassian, Podcast Network, Minti, Scouta and Tangler.

Particls makes the list at number 9.

Ross is also holding a Web 2.0 event in Sydney, Australia on June 6. Unfortunately, despite being invited to speak, we can’t make it. A lot of great people are going however - so check it out.

A new improved Tangle

Marty and the boys over at Tangler have launched an updated version of their platform. If you have not seen it yet and would like an invite, drop me a note in the comments (include your email address please) and I will see if I can hook you up - I have inside connections ;)

In other Australian Web 2.0 news, Cameron Reilly seems to be Buried Alive at the moment. At least that’s the advice his email auto-responder gives me. Do you need help Cam? Do you need food, water and/or ipods? We’re here for you my friend.
